Rule of thumb:
If you wouldn’t buy it or give it to a friend, think twice about hand it over. Condition matters – if your items have any of the following issues, they usually won’t be accepted:
- Water damaged
- Damaged binding or pages
- Missing covers or pages
- Excessive writing, markings, or highlighting
- Cut out library treatments
All items will be filtered and assigned according to it’s genre. You may bring free trade coupon to get your new reads at Concourse Lobby on 28-30 March.

- This quiz is only open to the students, faculty and staff of Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL).
- By submitting an entry form, each entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor.
- Winners will be selected from all eligible entries received during the Quiz period and chosen by Elsevier’s internal panel of judges. Decisions of the Panel will be final and binding in all respects.
- All winners will be notified via email by 25 November 2016 and a current and valid email address is required in order to claim the prizes. Prize collection must be made from the winner’s institution.

June 2013 – The Library of Universiti Kuala Lumpur City Campus was announced as the winner of the Best Library Award for the year 2012 among all education institutions of MARA (IPMa). For that Library of City Campus received a trophy and a certificate from YBhg. Datuk Ibrahim Ahmad, Director General of MARA during the Closing Ceremony of the 1st IPMa Librarian Symposium on June 25, 2013.
The Best IPMa Library Award is introduced by the Higher Education Division (BPT) MARA and evaluation is made based on the number of collection, library service offered, system and technology applied as well as the digitization process made.
Addressing the audience during the ceremony, Datuk Ibrahim stressed on the power of knowledge in this era and the crucial role of library to educate its users to develop, acquire and preserve knowledge. He added that the existence of digital library is highly imperative with easier and faster access to its collection using all the gadgets available in today’s world. He also encouraged more publications, journals, papers and articles to be produced by all staff and students of IPMa.
Held on June 24 – 25, 2013, the 1st IPMa Librarian Symposium was supported by BPT MARA. UniKL became the first host of the symposium in collaboration with Kolej Poly-Tech MARA, Kolej Professional MARA, Kolej MARA, German Malaysian Institute and GIATMARA. Several speakers among the library experts and library related products to share their knowledge and experience as well as exposure to the latest library product and technology.
Also present at the ceremony were UniKL President / CEO, Prof. Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, MARA Senior Director of Higher Education, Tuan Haji Abdul Rahim Hashim, UniKL Deputy President (International, Industrial and Institutional Partnership), Prof. Dato’ Ahmad Zahir Hj. Mokhtar, Deputy President (Student Development and Campus Lifestyle), Prof. Dr. Khairanum Subari and UniKL Senior Manager of Library and Resource Centre, Puan Hajjah Pazilah Hamzah.
Pada 6 Mac 2012, satu majlis serahan sumbangan rak buku telah belangsung. Bertempat di Sek. Keb. Kuala Pomson, serahan telah disampaikan oleh Puan Pazilah Binti Hamzah, Pengurus Kanan Perpustakaan Universiti Kuala Lumpur.
Hadir ketika menerima sumbangan adalah Ustaz Shahrul Bin Mohd Salleh, Guru Penolong Kanan S.K.K.P dan Guru Media Pusat Sumber, Puan Siti Norina Abdullah.
Sebanyak 10 unit rak buku telah disumbangkan kepada Pusat Sumber tersebut. Dana untuk sumbangan rak buku ini diperolehi melalui tabung kutipan rak buku sekolah anak-anak orang asli atau lebih dikenali sebagai Rural School Bookshelf Fund (R.S.B.F.).
Terdahulu, Universiti Kuala Lumpur turut menyumbangkan sebanyak 500 buah bahan bacaan kanak-kanak kepada Pusat Sumber S.K.K.P. Menurut Guru Media pusat sumber terbabit Puan Siti Norina Abdullah, hasil dari sumbangan tersebut, murid-murid sekolah tersebut semakin berminat untuk hadir ke Pusat Sumber dan membaca buku. Peningkatan minat membaca dikalangan anak-anak orang asli ini dapat dilihat melalui peningkatan dalam graf perbezaan analisa status program nilam tahap rakan pembaca di sekolah tersebut.
Berikut adalah merupakan peningkatan graf tersebut.
Dapat dilihat daripada graf bahawa penyertaan murid-murid dalam program rakan pembaca meningkat sebanyak 38.46% pada Oktober 2011 berbanding 13.99% pada Oktober 2010.
Ini menunjukkan peningkatan minat membaca sebanyak 24% dalam tempoh setahun, kesan daripada sumbangan bahan bacaan daripada Universiti Kuala Lumpur.
Melihat kepada peningkatan yang memberangsangkan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahawa usaha Universiti Kuala Lumpur menghulurkan sumbangan bahan bacaan kanak-kanak kepada sekolah tersebut telah memberi impak yang positif. Terutamanya dalam menyemai minat membaca dikalangan anak-anak orang asli dan kanak-kanak dipendalaman.
Selain daripada sumbangan beberapa buah rak buku dan bahan bacaan kanak-kanak, Universiti Kuala Lumpur turut menyumbangkan beberapa set permainan minda kepada Pusat Sumber tersebut.
